Mr. Dennis M. Law

Cyber Defense Agent

(Lic# ML12-451)

Mr. Law is the founder and first Director of the Information Security Agency (ISA).  Flanking this achievement is a rich history in the IT arena.

Originally from Queens, NY, Dennis joined the U.S. Army almost immediately after high school.  After completing Military Intelligence training at Fort Devens, MA. (SIGINT  Encrypted Signal Interception), and the Army Signal Corps School at Fort Gordon, GA. (Tactical/Fixed Station Technical Control Facility Operations); Dennis got the information security bug.  Dennis's military travels have led him to combat in Panama City, Panama (Operation Just Cause), and Riyadh, Saudi Arabia (Operation Desert Storm).  His last military assignment was as a Technical Facility Operator at the Pentagon, Arlington, VA.  Dennis was awarded two Army Achievement Medals, an Army Commendation Medal, and the National Defense Medal. Dennis also received the coveted Army Joint Services Commendation Medal for direct support of the Air Force during the recovery of their technical control facility, which had been bombed during combat operations in Panama.

After leaving the Army, Dennis honed his skills by plying his knowledge of Information Security, and general Information Technology concepts to a host of government and civilian agencies.  US Treasury Department | Bureau of Engraving & Printing (BEP), Department of Defense (DoD), Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA), Joint Service Provider (JSP), Northrop Grumman, Lockheed Martin, Virginia Department of Juvenile Justice, and Virginia Department of Health, are but a few of the entities that Dennis has assisted during his long career in Information Technology.

As he has a passion for teaching and awareness, Dennis has spoken about information security at numerous high schools and colleges across the country. He has created two public safety seminars and presented to parents and teachers in schools, libraries, coffee shops, and colleges. These seminars include 'Is Your Child Safe Online???', an introduction to monitoring and protecting your children online. The other, 'Is Your Business Cyber Safe' is a primer on how to implement best practices to safeguard your work environment and intellectual property. Both short seminars are very well received and won the ISA the 'Best of Rialto' award (2013/2014) for Best Information & Referral Services company. Dennis has represented the ISA at numerous Cyber Security conferences on the East and West coasts and Las Vegas. These include BlackHat, SchmooCon, EC-Council's HackerHalted, and several others. The ISA is also a member of the ISSA (IE, LA, NOVA, and DC chapters), and is partnered with the CyberWatch Center (East and West). The ISA is also partnered with Homeland Security's Stop|Think|Connect Information Security Awareness Initiative.

As head of the Information Security Agency, he not only brings experience, skill, and education, but Dennis also has superlative customer service skills, speaks Spanish fluently, is proficient at speaking Mandarin Chinese, and has a strong desire to help others. It is his desire to come through for the small and medium business. As small and medium businesses have been unfairly overlooked, he feels that someone needs to educate them about the absolute need for information security in their organizations. (The ISA is not prejudiced towards big businesses... We can take care of your large company also).
